The British Trade and Cultural Office (BTCO) held the UK-Taiwan International
Telehealth Conference on Sept. 18 2007, to discuss the latest issues
concerning Telehealth Technology providers, who provide remote assistance
to the sick and elderly.
The conference was held in conjunction with the Telecare Industry Alliance
Taiwan and the Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI).
Telemedcare Ltd, a leading provider of Telehealth solutions in the UK
and Asia Pacific was invited to speak at the conference about the next
generation of Telemedical technology. Professor Branko Celler, CEO of
Telemedcare, presented case studies from the UK and discussed how the
re-engineering of Care Services, with Telehealth, can deliver significant
benefits to both public and private health care providers.
Telemedcare is delighted to announce the launch of their new website.
The new site provides users with a comprehensive overview of the Telehealth,
Telemedicine and Telecare sector. Included on the website are case studies
and an up to date news folder showcasing all the latest activities within
the Telemedcare camp.

At the 2007 Medilink Business Awards Telemedcare won
the “Partnership with the NHS” category, for the organisation that has
given or will give the greatest impact in supporting the NHS.
Telemedcare Ltd opened their new “Health Smart Home”
testing facility for supporting the elderly and person’s with chronic
disease on 26 April 2007 in Venable’s Court Apartments in Lincoln.

Telemedcare was the host of the first Telehealth Conference
in Lincoln. The event was specifically targeted at the use of Telehealth
in managing long term conditions and prevention. Limited to only 40 places;
the day was very well attended with representatives from Social Services,
Primary Care Trust, and Private Care Providers.
Telemedcare has become a contributor member of the
Continua Health Alliance, one of the world’s largest industry alliances.
A collaborative industry organisation, is dedicated to bringing together
standards and diverse technology to create new health care solutions.
The Continua Health Alliance envisions personal Telehealth systems that
combine diverse products and technologies to enable better personal health
care for people worldwide.
